Your responsibilities

  • Daily coordination of activity for all shipping, receiving and activities; creates, updates and monitors processes to receive parts, fulfill shop orders, fulfills customer orders promptly and accurately.
  • Responsible for the administration of the annual physical inventory count process, reconciliation of variances and improvements to ensure accuracy.
  • Manages the inventory supervisor to ensure personnel productivity, teamwork, order, and organization of the warehouse; develops improvements for process flow which may include layout of storage areas and stockroom, while taking into consideration turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items to store.
  • Oversees care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; utilizes methods and use of equipment in handling and other storeroom equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for coordinating the distribution of parts to the assembly departments based on the production schedule and retrieving parts from inventory, staging, inspecting, packing, and shipping to customers.
  • Works closely with product line to distribute parts for assembly in a timely manner, delivering parts and properly staging for efficient assembly; works closely with the Production Department to have prompt return of unused parts to inventory.
  • Works with the Supply Chain Director (SCD) in evaluating system data on disposition of non-usable, slow moving, and excess inventories.
  • Works with the SCD, Planning, Purchasing and Inventory teams to improve availability of parts to stock, inventory integrity and accuracy, especially automatic replenishment of goods using minimum-maximum skills.
  • Overall direction to expedite customer needs after-hours.
  • Works with SCD, Planning, Purchasing and Inventory team to establish work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflows.
  • Works with SCD, Business Intelligence and leads the CIP team to improve operations; coordinates initiatives to reduce waste and costs, improve profitability, brings in other respective disciplinary departments as required and develops project teams as needed.
  • Establishes and monitors Key Performance Indicators related to Inventory Control and CIP initiatives.
  • Works to share best practices throughout the organization.
  • Lead the inventory control team and directly supervise Inventory Control Supervisors who supervisor Storekeepers and Leads.
  • Supervision of the personnel in the Continuous Improvement Function
  • Interviewing, hiring and training employees.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Five years supervisory experience in inventory or warehouse in a manufacturing environment for capital equipment; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with implementing the principles of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Experience in materials planning and enterprise resource planning systems (SAP P82 S/4 HANA Preferred)
  • APICS certification preferred, if not certified can be within a reasonable period of time
