Changes in the Management Board

Dortmund, 21 January 2009 – Valentin Reisgen, member of the Management Board of Klöckner-Werke AG and also CEO of its subsidiary KHS AG, Dortmund, will be leaving both companies by mutual agreement on 31 January 2009. Mr. Reisgen will continue to be of service to the company in an advisory capacity. The Supervisory Boards of Klöckner-Werke AG and KHS AG would like to thank Mr. Reisgen most sincerely for his services in the last few years. Until a final decision has been made as regards filling the position of CEO of the company, the previous Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KHS AG, Roland Flach, will undertake the task of CEO of KHS AG in accordance with section 105 Aktiengesetz (AktG – German Stock Corporation Act) in addition to his position and responsibilities as CEO of Klöckner-Werke AG.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinz Jörg Fuhrmann will be elected new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KHS AG. Prof. Dr. Fuhrmann is also Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Klöckner-Werke AG.

Mr. Burkhard Becker, CFO of KHS AG, has been appointed to the Management Board of Klöckner-Werke AG. Mr. Martin Resch, Head of Finance and Accounting, has been appointed Chief Representative of Klöckner-Werke AG.
