The Full Benefit(s) of Innopro GETRA Eco

At Brau Beviale 2010, the new opportunities that can be presented by tried-and-tested technology will be suitably demonstrated by gap cartridge filter Innopro GETRA Eco.  The existing benefits of this innovative system have now been extended to include several more interesting plus points. One of the chief new features of the Innopro GETRA Eco is that it gives operators the ability to reorganize the diatomaceous earth dosage.  Instead of using a separate diatomaceous earth stirring station and a dosing vessel at the filter, two diatomaceous earth tanks can now be installed.  Having two DE tanks gives manufacturers the option of preparing two different kinds of diatomaceous earth simultaneously for the first and second precoating processes.  In practice, this means a considerable saving in time.  The system could then be optimized so that it precoats automatically and that at a given time everything is ready for filtering.  Another major point that serves the perfect filtration performance of the Innopro GETRA Eco is the new, optional integration of filtrate recirculation into the filtration process.  The advantage of this lies in the extremely homogenous distribution of filter aids.  This method ensures safe filtration operation at all times, even at reduced capacities. With the Innopro GETRA Eco, intelligent and fully automatic diatomaceous earth dosage is also possible during the filtration process.  It ensures that the composition of the DE dosage is always entirely geared towards the haze level of the filtrate in the filter outlet.  Besides coordinating the DE dosage with the haze level, the intelligent DE dosage unit also regulates the amount of diatomaceous earth to be applied and thus the speed at which pressure increases during the filtration process.  The Innopro GETRA Eco filtration system of course also retains its many other general positive features which are valued worldwide by the beer and beverage industries.  One of these is the optimized filter cartridge, for which a gap width of 30 µm has been selected.  In practice, this means that during precoating more stable arches are formed and that the filter is less sensitive to pressure surges and less susceptible to disruptions.  The cartridge head of the Innopro GETRA Eco is equipped with a bayonet lock that drastically reduces the time required for filter cartridge installation, removal, and above all maintenance. The Innopro GETRA Eco can be flexibly customized to suit specific customer requirements and beer parameters.  The filter area and sediment intake capacity are suitably adapted, ensuring maximum utilization of the tank volume. The cartridge cleaning system with its ring film generator makes cleaning effective – and also saves water.  Surges of compressed air backflush the cartridge gaps during regular cleaning intervals.  A special jet spray system is used to clean the vessel walls and separator plate, eliminating the need for vessel flushing.
