KHS wine event a complete success
New KHS Innofill Glass DNRT filling system the center of interest
An event which was well worth attending and which, as well as presenting groundbreaking innovations, also contained much food for thought" - was the unanimous conclusion of those attending the KHS wine event. The KHS wine event was held at KHS' Bad Kreuznach plant in April. More than 50 representatives of the European wine industry took part and were delighted with the varied program. At the center of the event was the KHS Innofill Glass platform system, with which KHS is heralding a new era of filling technology. Innofill Glass is consistent with the Hygienic Design principle. This contributes to increased product quality and safety, improved system availability, reduced media and energy consumption and lower service and maintenance costs. Ludwig Clüsserath, Research and Development Manager, Filling Technology, KHS GmbH, presented the advantages of the Innofill Glass DNRT (Pressure – Normal pressure – Computer-controlled - Trinox). This filling system is predestined for the complete range of wine, sparkling wine and spirits including non-alcoholic wine and sparkling wine, lightly carbonated wine and mixed wine beverages. It has an output of 10,000 to 60,000 glass bottles/h. Possible bottle sizes range from 0.1 to 3 liters. With the Innofill Glass DNRT, the advantages of the platform system are supplemented by positives such as further optimized KHS Trinox technology with integrated, infinitely variable fill level adjustment, and filling valves equipped with a new type of discharge system which ensures particularly gentle filling. The machine ensures fast product changeovers and extremely short sanitizing and sterilization cycles. Opening up new markets with innovative wine containers - presentations on the Petainer keg for wine and glass-coated PET bottles for wine paid particular attention to this aspect. Further presentations on wine sterile filtration, modern disinfectants and innovative packaging technology successfully rounded off the comprehensive program of the KHS wine event. Finally, participants were able to see how KHS puts theory into practice during a tour of the plant.
